I've decided to go back to the Vanilla Dayz helicrash tables. With patch 1.7.5.1 I felt the game really added some interesting guns, some great new loot mechanics with the crashes, and still kept a good balance.
Along the same lines I've got this to say about our short lived .50cal ban. It actually created a problem that I had not foreseen. Choppers, and especially the gunned choppers became too powerful, and were able to rule areas of the map with little fear of being shot down. Choppers are hard enough to balance, and after reviewing the numbers, I have put the as50, and m107 back into the game. They are very rare, and the NATO rounds for the as50 are even more rare.

Oh Chernarus!
As you have noticed we have moved back to Chernarus! There were a few reasons for that, but none bigger than the Dayz patch 1.7.5.1. This patch can only be played on Cherarus, and it adds a lot of content we wanted our players to be able to enjoy! The second reason as the player base never really fell in love with Taviana. I'm not going to be stubborn about it, the numbers of people logged in told the tale well enough, and we've gone back to Chernarus for good this time!

Who let the dogs out? Shasta did!
There are companion K-9s now on the server. They work pretty good, and the dogs can kill zombies well, but don't expect them to take a bullet for you, bullets will kill them. Anyway guys, listen for barking, if you follow it to it's source you could have your very own "man's best friend". The dogs get reset at every server restart, and they are limited in number so hurry!

How to use #ADMIN# command, and general mission
Overall mission statement-
We're here to have fun, it's just that simple. Personally I like to play games in a persistent community, and I enjoy a fair bit of RPing/immersion. Keep that in mind during your time here on my Taviana server. You can be the nastiest, meanest, most cutthroat bandit to ever log into Dayz, and thats great, but if you are a pain in the ass on side chat, if you troll people, or if you in general make your self a drag to have on the server, you'll be gone. It's a game, and we are here to have fun, period.
Either myself, or a friend (who does not play on the server) will be available in side chat most of the day, in addition you can simply type "#ADMIN#" and the next 50 characters of input will text my personal cell phone. I'll try to get things sorted out as soon as I get the text.

New guns, banned guns. 1/26 Update
If you guys didn't notice we've taken out the M107, and As50 from our Taviana. A lot of people don't realize, but an As50 with the NATO rounds did 175k blood damage! The M107 rounds do about 35k blood damage, so they're gone too. What we have instead are the "Dragunov", and the M40A3 (wookie gun). These are excellent 7.62mm sniper guns with a normal, and still beastly, 8k blood damage.
In addition there are some new weapon spawns, and an overall increase in ammunition across the map! The new weapons are going to stay pretty balanced, for example there are now G36C spawns on the map, but there will be no scoped G36 variants. Even with iron sights, the G36 is a beast of a gun, especially in CQC, so enjoy!

1. Hacking or cheating in any way will get you banned. This includes picking up and using loot that has been scripted in or exploiting the game in a manner that was not intended by the developers. Do not glitch tents in rocks, under water or an any manner that was not intended.
2. Respect other players. This includes any and all racist type actions which includes custom skins, names, chat etc.
3. Side chat is strictly reserved for short communications. Do not spam the chat in any way shape or form. That includes gloating and whining excessively or just simply aggravating other players.
4. Respect the administration of the server. In game is not the place to handle administrative issues. If a buddy gets banned then direct him here. If you are told to do something by the administration do so. If you feel you have been abused then report it here.
5. Do not use Ventrilo to ghost your enemy. Vent is set up with channels and people should be able to feel safe to discuss private information in the channel that they are playing in. This is something that we will all have to help each other enforce.
6. Do not combat log. While the game has been adjusted to help prevent this it is still possible. Proven combat logging will be dealt with as cheating and an unban request will have to be processed as such.
7. Use common sense. If you are being an ass you will be treated like one.
